Personal Data Protection Authority President Prof. Dr. Faruk Bilir emphasized that wanting old personal information not to appear on the internet is the most natural right.
Channel Opened by Google
Stating that Google has opened an application box specific to Turkey, Bilir conveyed that the information requested to be removed can be entered here.
Obligation to Respond Within Thirty Days
There is an obligation to provide applicants with feedback within thirty days regarding whether the information can be removed or not.
Objection Process to the Board
It was stated that in the event of a negative response from Google, citizens can apply to the Personal Data Protection Authority and the board will evaluate the matter.

Stating that the need for privacy has increased with the widespread use of artificial intelligence, Bilir said that technology must be handled with a human-centric and transparent approach.
