A faint blue-colored mysterious object reflected on the live stream during the launch test of SpaceX's giant Starship rocket caused widespread repercussions on social media, while the vehicle exploded upon landing in the ocean.

Mysterious Light That Caught Attention on Live Stream

SpaceX carried out a historic test with the goal of sending the world's most powerful rocket into orbit. During this test, viewers following the live stream noticed a faint blue-colored, curved light trail moving behind the vehicle in the darkness of space.

Seen at approximately 7 minutes and 55 seconds into the flight with a bright white dot at its tip, this mysterious object quickly became a major subject of curiosity on social media platforms.

UFO and Mothership Claims on Social Media

Many social media users shared screenshots suggesting that the object could be a mothership. Some users stated that they saw a UFO during the live stream.

There were also those who questioned whether the displayed object was the International Space Station. However, no definitive assessment could be made regarding the size of the object and its distance from Earth.

Gas Emission and Engine Explanation from Experts

A user named Dean Scott stated that the object might consist of gas released into space. Scott argued that this footage stemmed from the engine shutdown and return maneuvers of the Super Heavy booster after separation.

Engineer Kyle Holl related the situation to the unexpected shutdown of one of the Starship engines during the flight. SpaceX and Elon Musk have not made an official statement regarding the matter.

Historic Launch and Prematurely Terminated Ascent

Starship lifted off into the sky from the SpaceX Starbase facility on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico on Monday morning at around 08:46 Eastern Time.

Due to the unexpected shutdown of one of the engines during the ascent, SpaceX officials had to terminate the flight at an earlier stage than planned.

Ocean Landing and Actual Explosion

The forty-story giant Starship positioned itself to make a controlled landing into the sea and touched the water at 11:58 Eastern Time. Seconds after touching the water, the vehicle turned into a massive fireball.

SpaceX spokesperson Dan Huot stated that there was no soft water landing. Cameras on land recorded the booster exploding at a point near the middle of the sea.
