October in İzmir Will Be Full of Culture and Arts Events

Starting from the first days of October, a rich culture and arts program in many different fields such as theater, opera, concerts, and exhibitions is being presented to the appreciation of art lovers in İzmir.

The Enthusiasm of Theater on State Theater Stages

The İzmir State Theater will meet with audiences on different stages in the first days of October. The play "Kanlı Nigar" will be staged at the Bornova Culture Center Bozkurt Kuruç Stage, and the play "Çarpışma" at the Urla Atatürk Culture Center Stage. In addition, the plays "Nihayet Makamı" at the Karşıyaka Ragıp Haykır Stage, "Böcek Oteli" at the Bornova Foyer Stage, and "Kırmızı Kanatlı Baykuş" at the Karşıyaka Foyer Stage will meet with theater enthusiasts.

Opera and Ballet Season Opens

The İzmir State Opera and Ballet will bring the opera "IV. Murat" to art lovers in the new season. The work will be staged at the Bornova Culture Center Necdet Aydın Stage on October 1-3. Another event of the ensemble, the "Ancient Arias" concert, will be held at the Elhamra Stage on October 2.

Season Opening Concert from the Symphony Orchestra

The İzmir State Symphony Orchestra will give its season opening concert at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center on October 2. The concert will be presented to art lovers under the baton of conductor Howard Griffiths, accompanied by soloist Marc Laforet.

Talks and Workshops at the Culture and Arts Factory

The İzmir Culture and Arts Factory will host events regarding literature, cultural heritage, and the urban agenda in addition to art during the first days of the new season. An urban transformation talk by civil engineer Ayça Aydın and an ebru (marbling) workshop by Sultan Nagihan will be held at İKSF. An interactive literature talk by author Nurdan Karacabey and a cultural heritage talk by Sevay İpek Aydın are also included in the program.

Exhibitions at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center

Two different exhibitions will be opened to the visitors of art lovers in the first month of the new season at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. Neriman İnsel's exhibition "Journey of Colors" and Saime Akçura's solo exhibition titled "Simurg - From Earth to Fire" will be presented to the appreciation of art lovers.
