On October 6, 2026, at a middle school in Istanbul's Başakşehir district, a 15-year-old 10th-grade female student from another high school came to her former school wearing her own school uniform and attacked the students.
Condition of the Injured Students
Among the injured students taken to the hospital by medical teams dispatched to the scene, Eslem Sare Bulut could not be saved despite all interventions and lost her life, while the treatment of the other 7 students continues.
Capture of the Suspect
Immediately after the incident, the suspect student was apprehended and taken into custody by security forces in a short time, and judicial proceedings were swiftly initiated against her.

The Ministry of National Education announced to the public that a judicial and administrative investigation has been launched regarding the incident, inspectors have been appointed, and education at the named school has been suspended for two days.
