Comprehensive Health Meetings in Rural Neighborhoods by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality
Teams consisting of specialist physicians and medical personnel measure the blood pressure and blood sugar levels of citizens living in rural neighborhoods and direct them to health institutions.
Within the framework of the "We Are in the Field for Health" project initiated by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, specialist physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, and medical personnel are coming together with citizens in rural neighborhoods to hold health meetings.
Health Meetings Started in Rural Neighborhoods
The Muğla Metropolitan Municipality is organizing health meetings in rural neighborhoods with a large team consisting of specialist physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, and medical personnel.
First Stops Were Gökpınar and Esençay
Within the scope of the project, citizens were met in the Gökpınar and Esençay neighborhoods of the Menteşe district. While health teams provided information on various topics, citizens' blood pressure and blood sugar levels were measured, and those with high values were referred to health institutions.
58 citizens participated in the program in Gökpınar Neighborhood, while 67 citizens participated in the program in Esençay Neighborhood.
The Project Will Continue in Various Neighborhoods
It was reported that within the scope of the held health meetings, the third stop of the project will be Çayboyu Neighborhood.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras stated that the project was initiated to contribute to citizens across the city benefiting equally from health services, and that the work will continue in different neighborhoods.
