Expansion of Healthcare Programs for Youth
AstraZeneca's globally maintained youth health initiative is being implemented with a new phase in the cities of Hanoi and Can Tho in Vietnam.
AstraZeneca has announced that it will invest more than $100 million in the Young Health Programme between 2010 and 2030, and that its efforts carried out in partnership with Plan International in Vietnam will be expanded to Hanoi and Can Tho.

AstraZeneca announced that it will invest a total of over $100 million in the Young Health Programme between 2010 and 2030 and will continue to support health equity in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Collaboration in Vietnam
In Vietnam, this investment will support the next phase of AstraZeneca's partnership with Plan International Vietnam, continuing to help young people protect themselves against non-communicable diseases and develop healthy lifestyles.
The program aims to improve the health and quality of life of young people aged 10-24 in particular, focusing on health promotion activities in schools.
New Period Targets
The next phase of the global program between 2026 and 2030 aims to reach 10 million more young people, train 800,000 youth advocates, and contribute to the shaping of 17 public policies worldwide by 2030.
In Vietnam, the new phase of the program will be implemented in Hanoi and Can Tho, and is expected to directly reach 49,200 young people and additionally train 300 peer educators.
