Health Begins at Home project launched for individuals with special needs in Samsun

It was reported that the TÜBİTAK 4008 project titled "Health Begins at Home," prepared to support individuals with special needs and their families with scientific knowledge, has been launched in Samsun.

The Health Begins at Home project has been launched in order to ensure that opportunities for individuals with special needs find a more effective response in the field and to support families.

Speaking at the opening program held at OMÜ OMTEL Hotel, Canik District Governor Şeref Aydın touched upon the importance of the opportunities provided by the state and drew attention to interinstitutional cooperation.

Support Through Scientific Methods
Project Coordinator Asst. Prof. Elif Mercan Uzun noted that their main goal is to alleviate the caregiving burden of families of special children and to offer scientific methods instead of hearsay information.
