Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu announced that strengthening the legal framework ensuring the protection of physicians and all healthcare personnel against risks they may encounter while performing their duties is among their fundamental priorities.
Critical Meeting at Çankaya Mansion
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu and Deputy Chairman of the Health Policies Board Prof. Dr. Serkan Topaloğlu attended the Law Policies Board meeting held at Çankaya Mansion.
At the meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Presidency Law Policies Board Mehmet Uçum, joint studies in the fields of health and law were discussed.
Strong Cooperation in Health and Law
Minister Memişoğlu stated that law is one of the fundamental pillars of state order and social life, expressing that health and law are two complementary fields.
Deputy Chairman of the Health Policies Board Prof. Dr. Serkan Topaloğlu also noted that effective and permanent health policies are only possible with a strong legal infrastructure.
Legislation and Digital Transformation Studies
It was stated that more than 160 legislative regulations have been implemented since July 2024, and that the needs originating from the field and a culture of consultation were taken as a basis.
It was conveyed that digital transformation is being resolutely continued through applications such as e-Pulse and MHRS, alongside the domestic production of medicine, vaccines, and medical devices.
Zero Tolerance Principle Against Violence in Healthcare
Mehmet Uçum stated that as the Law Policies Board, they act with the principle of zero tolerance toward violence in healthcare, and that the fight through the white code system continues.
It was reiterated that ensuring healthcare workers have a safe working environment is among the priority issues.
