Health tourism potential between Turkey and the Turkic world discussed
At the event held in Baku, cooperation opportunities between Turkey and the Turkic Republics in fields such as preventive medicine and medical technologies were evaluated.

Health relations between Turkey and the Turkic Republics were discussed at the panel titled "Together in Health," organized by the Turkic World Friendship and Cooperation Association in Baku.
The event emphasized the opportunities to develop cooperation in both the public and private sectors.
Broad Areas of Cooperation
It was stated that there is significant partnership potential between Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as other Turkic Republics and related communities, in diagnostic and treatment services among other key areas.
Preventive medicine, healthy longevity, healthy living, mental health, and medical technologies were among these fields.
Health Tourism Data
Hakan Çetiner, a faculty member at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, recalled that the number of foreign-trained physicians in OECD countries exceeded 600,000 as of 2023.
Çetiner stated that Turkey holds significant potential with its infrastructure, human resources, and hospital assets.
Millions of Visitors and Revenue
It was stated that the number of people traveling to Turkey with health as their primary purpose reached 1,398,000 by the end of 2025.
In this context, it was emphasized that revenues exceeding 3 billion dollars were estimated, and the sector is a crucial component of international health services export.

Kader Demiralp, Chairman of TÜDİŞ, stated that there is a vast potential for cooperation with the Turkic world and outlined their activities.
Numerous officials, academics, and federation presidents attended the event in Baku.
