Hue City Standardizes Infrastructure for Universal Health Checkups
Hue City is strengthening its infrastructure to address hardware and software deficiencies as it aims to health-screen 100% of its population by the end of 2026.
Hue City is preparing to expand its campaign for regular health checkups and free screenings for residents starting October 1, 2026. The city is focusing on resolving infrastructure and technology gaps while aiming to examine 100% of the population, covering more than 1.2 million people, by the end of the year.
Health Screening Expansion
Following the implementation of an intensive campaign for regular health checkups and free screenings for residents, Hue City will continue to expand the program to other target groups starting October 1, 2026.
All residents living, studying, and working in the city are targeted to undergo regular health checkups by the end of the year.
Infrastructure and Equipment Shortages
While free medical examinations have been accelerated at the Phu Bai Ward Health Station, the facility faces certain difficulties, particularly regarding the equipment necessary for clinical examinations.
The lack of supportive medical devices such as ultrasound, X-ray machines, laboratory equipment, and electrocardiographs hinders the full execution of checkups.
Data Management and Technological Issues
Alongside physical facilities and specialized equipment, information technology infrastructure stands out as a critical element in the program's implementation.
The lack of synchronization in the software used to manage medical examination data across facilities makes it difficult to update information into the common data system.
Electronic Health Records
According to the plan, periodic health checkups will be conducted for 100% of the population, covering more than 1.2 million people, by the end of 2026.
The results of the health checkups will be directly updated into the electronic health record integrated into the VNeID application.
