Emphasis on Medical Profession and Idealism
Expressing his satisfaction with meeting young physician candidates, Minister Memişoğlu emphasized that medicine is a sacred profession and offered various pieces of advice to the students.
Stating that choosing difficulty is idealism, Minister Memişoğlu urged the youth not to lose their idealism and expressed that medicine is an emotional profession requiring empathy and altruism.
Turkey's Health System Data
Touching upon Turkey's achievements in the field of health within the scope of the program, Memişoğlu conveyed that the health system touches 3 million people a day and that there are approximately 1.5 million health workers in the country.
Stating that there are also 253,000 physicians and 271,000 patient beds in the current system, the Minister called on the youth not to neglect their families and those who put in effort.
