Ministry of Health Announces 158 Million Screenings for Chronic Diseases
Minister Kemal Memişoğlu reported that millions of early diagnoses have been made through screenings conducted over the past two years.
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that 158 million chronic disease screenings were conducted over the past two years as part of preventive health efforts carried out through 31,000 family physicians.
Family Practice Operations
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu stated that 31,000 family physicians working in more than 8,000 Family Health Centers across the country carry out early diagnosis and regular monitoring processes against chronic diseases.
Screenings and Early Diagnosis
It was stated that thanks to the 158 million chronic disease screenings conducted over the past two years, more than 14 million early diagnoses were made and diseases were intervened in a timely manner.
Preventive Health Services
Emphasizing that early diagnosis is one of the most important steps toward a healthy future, Minister Memişoğlu noted that they will continue to strengthen preventive health services.
