"My Health at Work" Project Launched in Muğla
With the Ministry of Health's pilot application, preventive health services and cancer screenings have been initiated in workplaces in Muğla.
With the "My Health at Work" Project, prepared by the Ministry of Health and launched in the pilot province of Muğla, preventive health services are delivered directly to the areas where employees are located.
Introduction and Objectives of the Project
At the launch held at the Muğla Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Hall, the importance of the project was shared and managers were asked to provide support.
It was emphasized that bringing health services directly to citizens is critical.
The Importance of Preventive Health Services
It was stated that health services are not limited to the treatment of diseases and that preventive measures are vital.
The project aims to contribute to living a quality life from birth onwards.
Health Screenings in Production Areas
Cancer screenings and smoking cessation counseling were moved directly to production areas.
It was noted that instead of waiting for employees to visit health institutions, the service is provided right at the workplace.
Field Applications in Muğla
Field studies were carried out at the Yeniköy and Kemerköy Thermal Power Plants in Milas and at hotels in Bodrum.
In the initial applications, approximately one thousand employees were reached.
Comprehensive Services Provided
Mammography, HPV, and FOBT screenings are performed via the KETEM health truck.
Various trainings such as nutrition counseling, psychological support, and oral health are also provided.
