Public Health Street established in Kastamonu's Nasrullah Square draws great interest

Free blood pressure, blood sugar, and cancer screenings were conducted for citizens on Public Health Street, established in the historical Nasrullah Square by the Kastamonu Provincial Health Directorate within the scope of Public Health Week events.
Health Street Established in Historical Square
The Kastamonu Provincial Health Directorate created a special area in Nasrullah Square as part of Public Health Week events and established the Public Health Street. Various screening and measurement activities aimed at citizens' health were implemented in this established area.
Free Health Tests and Measurements
Free blood pressure, blood sugar, carbon monoxide, and body mass index measurements were performed for citizens by expert teams at the booths set up in the area. Additionally, cancer screenings for early diagnosis were conducted.
Comprehensive Information and Counseling
Detailed information was provided to visitors at the booths regarding obesity, physical activity, healthy nutrition, diabetes, hypertension, maternity school, heart health, family medicine, combating addiction, infectious diseases, smoking cessation, and organ donation.
Blood Donation Support from the Red Crescent
A booth was also opened in the event area by the Turkish Red Crescent Kastamonu Branch. While the on-duty doctors explained the importance of blood donation to citizens, willing participants made blood donations.
Protocol and Expert Statements
Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı visited the area and received information from officials about the activities. Dr. Emire Er, Deputy Head of Public Health Services, stated that their aim is to raise public awareness regarding health services.
