A total of 3.62 tons of food products, such as sucuk, roasted meat (kavurma), and cheese, which were offered for sale in conditions unsuitable for health via social media channels, were seized during inspections.

Tonnes of Products Seized in Inspections

Comprehensive inspections were carried out targeting the production and distribution centers of foods marketed through social media platforms.

As a result of the investigations, a total of 3.62 tons of products, consisting of approximately 1.62 tons of sucuk and roasted meat, and 2 tons of tulum and white cheese, were seized.

Health and Regulatory Conditions Not Met

It was determined that the secured foods lacked the necessary hygiene conditions and that their expiration dates had passed.

It was established that the products were produced using methods that endanger human health and were offered for sale in violation of regulations.

Procedures and Fight Will Continue

Necessary administrative procedures were initiated under the relevant laws against individuals and businesses operating in violation of regulations.

It was announced that inspections against food sales threatening public health via social media will continue with determination.
