As a result of digital security efforts carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications, 88 accounts that systematically spread disinformation on the X platform and threatened national security were shut down.

Protection of Digital Borders

Taking action to protect Turkey's digital borders, the Directorate of Communications did not allow black propaganda networks on social media platforms. As a result of the efforts carried out under the coordination of the institution, accounts systematically spreading disinformation through the X platform were identified.

Access Block Decisions

During examinations carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications, it was determined that the accounts in question were conducting Israeli propaganda. Legal action was initiated regarding 88 X accounts sharing content that directly threatens national security, and access block decisions were implemented.

Public Misleading Activities

Within the scope of measures taken against perception operations conducted via social media, the activities of disinformation-spreading networks were halted. It was revealed that the 88 accounts identified through the joint work of relevant institutions made systematic posts aimed at misleading the public.

Ongoing Investigations

While the digital footprints of the closed accounts were being erased, it was learned that investigations into other networks carrying out similar activities are ongoing. It was observed that official visuals of the closed accounts' profiles featured access restriction notices.
