In a statement issued by the Turkish Football Federation, it was announced that a total of 448 executives who served in Süper Lig and TFF 1. Lig clubs within the last five years and were found to have placed bets have been referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) with precautionary measures.

Disciplinary Referrals from the Federation

The Turkish Football Federation announced that individuals who served as administrators in Süper Lig and TFF 1. Lig clubs within the last five years and were found to have placed bets have been referred to disciplinary action.

Within the scope of this decision, it was stated that a total of 448 executives were referred to the PFDK with precautionary measures as of September 30, 2026, in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.

Ural Aküzüm Resigns

The investigation process, which triggered widespread repercussions and created a major earthquake in the football community, also caused mobility within the TFF management.

Ural Aküzüm, a member of the TFF Board of Directors who was among the names referred to the PFDK as part of the investigation, announced that he resigned from his position following the developments.

Notable Names on the List

The list published by the federation features the names of many high-ranking executives and presidents from the long-established clubs of the Süper Lig.

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan, Beşiktaş Second President Hakan Daltaban, executives from Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, as well as Doğukan Hüseyin Otyakmaz, the son of TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz, and Muhammed İsmail Sağlam, the son of former Deputy Minister of Interior Mehmet Sağlam, drew attention as some of the names on the list.

Statement from Trabzonspor President

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan, whose name appeared on the investigation list, made statements regarding the matter to A Spor.

Doğan stated that there was no intentional situation, that there were accounts closed in the past, and that they would make the necessary defense.
