Fenerbahçe Board Members Explained Major Projects at the General Assembly Meeting
Fenerbahçe Sports Club executives shared many important projects with members at the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, ranging from the acquisition of land for the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities to stadium capacity increases.
Taking the floor at Fenerbahçe'ihs Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, board members shared details of major investments that will contribute to the club's economy, including the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities, Meydan 1907, Maltepe Fenerbahçe Football Academy, digital museum, Dereağzı Olympic Academy, stadium capacity increase, COVE1907, and the 120th Anniversary Lottery.
Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities Land Acquisition
Board Member Özgür Peker informed the General Assembly about the purchasing processes to bring a 14,934-square-meter portion of the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities belonging to the Treasury into the club inventory.
Stating that 20 percent of the payable amount will be paid in advance and the remaining 80 percent in five years without interest, Peker emphasized that this transaction is a major step to secure the facilities.
Meydan 1907 and Maltepe Projects
Sharing the details of the Meydan 1907 project, which consists of home offices, commercial areas, and a parking lot planned to be built on the Kenan Evren land, Özgür Peker touched upon the importance of the revenues to be obtained for the club's independence.
He also stated that the Maltepe Fenerbahçe Football Academy project, whose work has begun, will be the address for new athletes growing up with the club culture.
Digital Museum and Investment in the Future
Taking the podium, Board Member Fatih Öztürk announced that the historical mansion located on the Kenan Evren land will be transformed into a digital and technological museum.
Stating that the historical mansion with its renewed face will be a living memory of the club, Öztürk expressed that this project is an important legacy to be left to the future.
Dereağzı and Olympic Academy
Fenerbahçe Football A.Ş. Board Member İsmail Balcı stated that the Metin Aşık Camp Building was demolished as part of the renovation works at the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Facilities.
Balcı provided detailed information to the hall about the processes of the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Olympic Academy Project to be implemented on this area.
Stadium Capacity Increase Works
Board Member Nihat Özbağı explained the technical project aimed at increasing the spectator capacity of the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.
Stating that the capacity will be increased to 64,000 with additional stands and increasing numbers of executive boxes, Özbağı announced that with this step they will have the largest stadium in Turkey on a club basis.
COVE1907 Real Estate Project
Board Member Yusuf Buğra Tanık introduced the COVE1907 project, which will be implemented in cooperation with NATA Holding in the Kıyıkışlacık region of Muğla Milas.
Stating that they aim for the project to be a destination that lives for 12 months, Tanık expressed that the Fenerbahçe brand will thus have significant revenue items.
120th Anniversary Lottery Revenue Targets
Board Member Fatih Aslan stated that the 120th Anniversary Lottery project planned to be carried out with the permission of the National Lottery Administration will generate resources for the club.
Expressing that approximately 3.5 million tickets will be offered for sale at 1000 TL and that a revenue of approximately 64 million Euros is targeted at the current exchange rate, Aslan conveyed that digitalization will come to the fore in the project.
