Discovery of Hidden Camera in the Shower Area
The incident at the sports center operating in İzmir's Karşıyaka district came to light thanks to a customer's alertness. A female member named H.C., who was using the gym's shower area, noticed a hidden camera lens in the space and recorded the situation with her mobile phone camera.
Police Complaint and Investigation Process
An official investigation was launched after the customer went to the police with the footage she captured and filed a complaint. With the incident referred to judicial authorities, the investigation is being meticulously pursued.
Statements from the Business Owner
Business owner Rüya Doğan Arsalı stated that they became aware of the situation when an individual at the branch took a video with suspicious movements and quickly left. Arsalı noted that they called out to the woman but could not reach her, and they immediately called the police to the facility.
Arsalı claimed in her statement that they did not even let their own employees inside during this process, and no evidence was found during the initial police inspection at the scene. Arguing that the camera might have been placed afterward, the business owner raised the possibility that a rival company might be behind the incident.
