Renovated School Sports Hall in Pendik Opened with a Ceremony
The sports hall of a high school in Istanbul, where thousands of students study, has been opened with a ceremony following comprehensive renovation works.
The Pendik Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Sports Hall, renovated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, was put into service with a ceremony attended by IMM Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan.
Renovation Works Completed
The sports hall, renovated and furnished with missing equipment by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Technical Works, gained a modern appearance.
The facility was completely renewed with its stands, locker rooms, instructor rooms, and areas accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Statements Made at the Ceremony
Speaking at the ceremony, IMM Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan stated that they have brought the number of indoor sports halls provided to schools by the IMM since 2019 to 39.
It was stated that the target is to increase this number to 45 by the end of the year.
Investment and Technical Details
Realized with an investment of 80 million liras, the 780-square-meter modern center was officially put into service for the students after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The sports hall of the school, where 1,295 students are educated, will host the sporting activities of the youth in the region.
