Great Success at the Championship in Mersin
The TSK Spor Gücü Shooting Team achieved significant athletic success as part of the Olympic Disciplines Firearms Federation Cup organized in the province of Mersin.
The team's athletes claimed first places in all individual events held in the 25-meter firearms pistol and 50-meter firearms rifle disciplines.
Turkish Records Broken and Equaled
Competing in the events, TSK Spor Gücü member Tank Major Mert Nalbant secured first place in the 50-meter Firearms Rifle category, becoming the holder of a new Turkish record.
In the same organization, Infantry Major Eser Koç finished first in the 25-meter Firearms Pistol category while successfully equaling the existing Turkish record.
Other Athletes Ranking in the Top
As a result of the outstanding performances exhibited throughout the championship, Signal Major Zeynep Yıldız placed first in the 50-meter Firearms Rifle category.
Expert Assistant Şimal Yılmaz reached the championship in the 25-meter Firearms Pistol category, while Personnel First Lieutenant Pelvin Erkan and Maintenance First Lieutenant Serhat Paçal finished the 50-meter Firearms Rifle category in second place.
Passed the Threshold for the National Team
According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, Infantry Major Emrah Ceylan, competing in the 50-meter firearms rifle category, surpassed the overseas threshold score.
Thanks to this score, Emrah Ceylan earned the right to represent the national team in international competitions in the future.
