Capital Markets Board Decision on Margin Trading
In line with current developments in the markets, a new step has been taken to protect investors and ensure a secure environment.
The Capital Markets Board has extended the duration of the measure to relax the equity ratio applied to margin capital market transactions in line with developments in Borsa Istanbul markets.
Application Period Extended
Within the scope of the new decision taken by the Capital Markets Board, the duration of the current measure regarding the relaxed application of the equity ratio in margin capital market transactions was adjusted.
According to the official statement, the aforementioned practice has been extended to continue until the end of the session on October 30, 2026.
Justifications for the Decision
In the announcement shared by the Board, it was emphasized that this decision was taken to ensure the functioning of capital markets in a reliable, transparent, and stable environment.
It was also stated that protecting the rights and interests of investors is among the primary objectives of the regulation.
