Associate Professor Dr. Tran Trung Tinh Appointed as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology
With decisions signed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Can Tho University Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
With new decrees signed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and taking effect on September 4, 2026, important appointments and personnel changes were made at various levels of the state.
Enactment of Appointment Decisions
The appointment decisions regarding the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Deputy Government Inspector General, signed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, officially entered into force on September 4, 2026.
New Appointment to the Ministry of Science and Technology
In accordance with Decision No. 1715/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Mr. Tran Trung Tinh, Rector of Can Tho University, was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
Ministry of Industry and Trade Appointment
Within the scope of the new assignments, in line with Decree No. 1717/QD-TTg, Mr. Nguyen Viet Son, Director of the Oil, Gas and Coal Department, was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Assignment
As another step of the appointment wave, pursuant to Decision No. 1718/QD-TTg, Mr. Le Trong Yen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment.
Deputy Government Inspector General Appointments
By Decision No. 1716/QD-TTg, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province, and by Decision No. 1719/QD-TTg, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the Hue City Police, were appointed as Deputy Government Inspector Generals.
