Blue Dragon Awards Launched in Vietnam to Merge Cultural Heritage with Digital Transformation

Vietnam has officially announced the Blue Dragon Awards to revitalize its cultural heritage with the possibilities of the digital age and create economic value. Organized by the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation, the program aims to reward individuals and institutions that promote cultural values using science and technology.

Scope and Objectives of the Award Program

The Blue Dragon Awards will be presented in six different categories: heritage, destination branding, cultural industry, innovation, STEAM, and special impact. The program aims to turn cultural heritage into a national soft power by combining it with technology.

Strategic Alignment and Digital Vision

The program follows a strategy aligned with the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, which prioritizes technology and digital transformation, and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, which defines culture as a national soft power.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Lan, Director of the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation, emphasized that technology does not destroy culture, but rather offers new ways for its preservation, retelling, and dissemination.

Collaboration and Future Perspective

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the project will host forums themed 'Vietnam's Soft Power in the Digital Age' in addition to the award ceremony.

The forums will serve as a platform for participants to put their ideas into practice and to build a strong network among industry stakeholders.
