Making statements at TEKNOFEST held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, TEI General Manager Mahmut Faruk Akşit shared the latest stages reached in domestic engine projects.

Serial Production Tests Continue for GÖKBEY

Reminding that a test flight was carried out with the TEI-TS1400 national engine of the GÖKBEY helicopter, TEI General Manager Mahmut Faruk Akşit announced that the engine has now reached flight maturity.

Akşit noted that they are waiting for the final certification phase to be completed for GÖKBEY to join the inventory in series, and in this direction, they have put 8 different engines into parallel testing.

TEI-TF6000 Engine to Be Delivered to BAYKAR

Touching upon jet engine studies, Akşit stated that TEI-TF6000, one of the leading projects, has been run and reached flight maturity.

It was reported that, barring any setbacks, the TEI-TF6000 engine is planned to be delivered to the BAYKAR team around the end of the year or the beginning of next year. Meanwhile, the TEI-TF10000 engine is targeted to be run before the end of next year.

R&D and Engineering Capacity is Growing

Stating that TEI's engineering and R&D capacity has grown significantly over the last 10 years, Akşit conveyed that the R&D team, which consisted of 80-90 people, has reached 1200-1300 people today.

It was announced that the total engine development engineering team is approaching 2,000, and the TEITECH organization has been established to run military and strategic engines.

UAV Engines Completed 20 Thousand Flight Hours

Conveying that TEI's UAV engines are actively used in the inventory, Akşit touched upon the successes of these platforms.

It was noted that the diesel and UAV engines flying on the Bayraktar TB3, AKSUNGUR, and ANKA platforms have successfully completed a total of 20 thousand flight hours in the sky.
