Ta Dinh Thi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, was also present in the observation delegation and closely monitored the efforts.
Waste Management and Infrastructure Plans
Representatives of the Son Dong Commune People's Committee reported that a contract has been signed with Tu Liem Urban Environment Services Joint Stock Company for environmental sanitation. Plans are underway to separate household solid waste.
In the fourth quarter, three waste collection and transfer stations will be constructed. Vehicles have been equipped with GPS devices, and cameras have been installed to monitor illegal dumping.
Technology and Production Area Inspection
The delegation inspected the production areas in the Son Dong craft village on-site, received briefings from authorities, and assessed the current situation.
It was reported that CNC machines have begun to be utilized in the production of statues and religious artifacts to lower costs and reduce environmental impact.
Evaluation and Future Steps
Nguyen Thi Diem Hang, Head of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee of the City People's Council, commended the commune's achievements to date.
It was emphasized that concrete solutions should be developed that connect the application of science and technology with products and practical activities.
