The Japanese government has reached a consensus with the Visegrád Group countries, consisting of Hungary, Poland, the Czechia, and Slovakia, on developing cooperation in the field of advanced technology.

Slovakia Summit and New Decisions

According to the official statement made by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu came together with the foreign ministers of the Visegrád Group countries during his visit to Slovakia. During the talks, the parties reached a full consensus on promoting cooperation in the field of advanced technology between Japan and the V4 countries.

Bilateral Contacts with Poland

During his visit to Slovakia, Motegi held a separate bilateral meeting with Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski. One of the main agenda items of this bilateral contact was the coordination of support to be given to Ukraine's reconstruction process.

Critical Technologies and Economic Security

The Japanese and Polish ministers decided to act jointly with the European Union and other like-minded countries. The parties agreed on cooperating in the field of economic security and developing critical technologies.
