According to the draft, STEM education will be organized in three different ways: lessons, experiential activities, and student-led scientific and engineering research. STEM will not be added as a new subject, but rather integrated into existing lessons and activities.
Technology Integration and New Contents
Depending on grade levels, modern technology contents such as programming, control, robotics, data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things will be appropriately integrated. Elements of arts and humanities are also included in the process, adopting a STEAM-oriented approach.
Teacher Competence and Safety
Teachers will receive training on interdisciplinary teaching and the responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence. Ensuring absolute safety in activities and protecting personal data are of great importance.
Cross-Classroom Activities and Collaborations
STEM activities will not be limited to school campuses only and can also be organized in production facilities, universities, research institutes, and museums. These activities will be based on a voluntary principle and will require parental consent.
