Science, technology and digital transformation efforts in Thai Nguyen province
Investments in infrastructure and data integration carried out across Thai Nguyen during the first nine months of 2026 were evaluated.
In accordance with government directives, tangible steps were taken in Thai Nguyen province during the first nine months of 2026 in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, strengthening the infrastructure.
Infrastructure and 5G Developments
Along with the installation of 486 new base stations across the province, the 5G population coverage rate reached 85 percent, and villages lacking mobile access were reached.
The proportion of users gaining access to fixed broadband internet speed reached a significant rate of 96 percent.
Data Integration
Within the scope of data warehouse integration efforts, connection procedures for 62 out of a total of 125 databases were successfully completed.
As a result of these efforts, the total data capacity surpassed the 1.2-terabyte threshold.
Innovation and Goals
Focus was placed on artificial intelligence and strategic technologies within the regional innovation center established in cooperation with Thai Nguyen University.
In the remaining part of the year, the goal is to increase the 5G coverage rate to 95 percent and to commercialize research results.
