It has been reported that the PISA administration cited Turkey's development in the field of education as an example to other countries.
Turkey increased its scores in all three areas of science, reading skills, and mathematics in the PISA 2025 results, becoming the country that made the most progress among OECD countries.
Major Rise in PISA 2025 Results
According to the PISA 2025 results conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development with the participation of 91 countries, Turkey increased its scores in all areas: science, reading skills, and mathematics. This achievement, obtained during a period when educational performance declined worldwide, also attracted the attention of international educational circles.
Infrastructure and Curriculum Steps in Education
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated that this success is the product of massive steps taken to first solve physical and technological infrastructure problems in education. Tekin also stated that the changes made in the curriculum with the Turkey Century Education Model made a very important contribution to the process.
Teacher Appointments and Capacity Increase
Stating that the transformation initiated in the teacher training process was effective, Minister Tekin emphasized that great progress has been achieved in the indicators of the number of students per teacher with the teacher appointments made.
Breaking of Tutorship and International Praise
It was reported that the PISA administration asked Turkey to explain this extraordinary trajectory to other countries as well. It was stated that one of the most important reasons behind this situation was the breaking of the FETÖ tutorship over educational policies.
