GETI 2025 Program and Events in Egypt
One of the standout developments in 2025 was the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute (GETI), held in the Wadi El Natrun region of Egypt under the theme 'Where is visible unity now?'.
Consisting of online and in-person phases, the program accepted 95 participants from different regions and church traditions, who reported high levels of satisfaction.
Publication Projects and New Educational Courses
Following GETI 2025, a new publication preparation process was initiated to record theological studies as a resource for future ecumenical education.
An introductory online course titled Ecumenism 101 was developed to bring foundational ecumenical knowledge to wider audiences.
Regional Institutes and the Bossey Institute
Efforts continued to develop regional ecumenical institutes focused on North America and Latin America, strengthening regional contexts.
Founded in 1946, the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey celebrated its 80th anniversary by combining academic theological study with intercultural communal living.
