New footage has documented the chaos that erupted on a flydubai flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel, where an Omani co-pilot attempted a knife attack on the Indian captain and passengers intervened.

Moments of Panic During Flight

A new video recording has emerged following the incidents on flydubai flight FZ1073 from the United Arab Emirates to Israel.

In the footage, which appears to have been filmed with a mobile phone from a seat near the cockpit, shouting in a mix of English and Hebrew can be heard inside the cabin.

Intervention by Passengers and Crew

Those on board experienced severe panic, stating that the co-pilot had attacked the captain and attempted to crash the aircraft.

Following crew announcements, Dr. Shota Musaev, an Israeli dentist on board, came to the cockpit area to assist.

Condition of the Injured Captain

Severely injured Indian captain Smit Machchhar managed to open the cockpit door on his own, successfully saving the lives of 174 passengers.

The footage includes moments where a blood-covered Machchhar stated that the co-pilot had hit him multiple times.

Emergency Landing in Saudi Arabia and Detention

Following the incident, the aircraft made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, where the attacking co-pilot was subdued with his hands tied behind his back.

While waiting for police to arrive, crew members and passengers emphasized that the attacker would not be allowed to escape.

Investigation and Authorities' Statements

An international investigation has been launched into the co-pilot, who was transferred to the UAE following the detention process in Saudi Arabia.

Abu Dhabi authorities are investigating whether there was any terrorist connection or planned motive behind the attack.
