Qatar's Contacts in Tehran
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held talks in Tehran on Thursday in an effort to resolve the conflict between the US and Iran.
The discussions addressed plans to reduce tensions and ensure the safe passage of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
Tanker Attack in the Strait of Hormuz
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported that an oil tanker caught fire on Tuesday in the waters between Oman and Iran after being struck by an unidentified object.
It was stated that the crew was safe and no environmental damage occurred in the incident.
Iran's Reactions to Sanctions
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei criticized US sanctions and the coalition formed with Bahrain, while Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf thanked China.
Situation in Gaza and Lebanon
Four people lost their lives and numerous others were injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza, which were criticized during a UN meeting.
Meanwhile, in airstrikes in southern Lebanon, a woman lost her life and six people were injured.
