As a result of the Russian military's bombardment of Zaporizhzhia, apartment buildings, a university building, and a shopping center were hit. According to information provided by authorities, five people were injured in these attacks.
Additionally, Russia launched airstrikes on nine other regions across Ukraine. In a drone strike in the northeastern Kharkiv region, a forty-five-year-old woman lost her life, and her thirteen-year-old son was severely injured.
The Massive Drone Swarm Over the Weekend
Ukrainian forces carried out an intense operation by launching over a thousand drones into Russian territory over the weekend. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems destroyed numerous drones overnight.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian air force reported that many Russian drones were shot down or neutralized on their side. Amidst this aerial activity, the Moldovan Ministry of Defense announced that the northern airspace was temporarily closed due to a foreign object entering its airspace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he expects to meet with United States President Donald Trump during the annual event in New York. Russian President Vladimir Putin is not expected to attend the meeting.
