The World Cinema Programme of the 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival Announced
Organised by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, the festival will bring an eighteen-film selection from twenty countries, special screenings and tribute programmes to film enthusiasts.
Hosted by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality and taking place from September 26 to October 4, 2026, the 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival will present standout productions from world festivals and special selections to film lovers in Adana.
Films Selected from Festivals
Award-winning productions that have made waves at the world's leading festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Locarno and Karlovy Vary will meet with audiences in Adana.
The selection features new films by master filmmakers such as Paweł Pawlikowski, Ryūsuke Hamaguchi, Pedro Almodóvar and Rodrigo Sorogoyen.
Young Directors and Animations
Works by young directors seeking a fresh breath hold an important place in the festival programme.
In the animation category, innovative and striking international productions will be presented for film enthusiasts to watch.
Special Screenings and Tribute Programmes
While important productions are included in the 'Newcomers from the Sea' selection, Mehmet Muhtar’s 1953 film 'Dracula in Istanbul' will be screened with its restored copy within the scope of special screenings.
Additionally, in memory of Béla Tarr, who passed away in January, the film 'Werckmeister Harmonies' will be screened, and Jocelyne Saab’s works will meet with audiences.
Venues
All film screenings within the scope of the festival will take place at the CinemaPink by Maximum halls located in 01 Burda AVM.
