In line with its 2030 vision and 2045 goals, the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a proactive defense strategy against next-generation security risks in the cyber world. Under Decision No. 3914/QD-BKHCN, the initiative aims to protect citizens and businesses against AI-based fraud methods.

The new plan published by the Ministry focuses on critical areas such as the detection of fake images and audio produced by deepfake technology, the protection of personal data, and ensuring the security of electronic transactions. The project envisions a transition from a passive security approach to an active intervention process where the results of scientific research are integrated.

As part of the strategy, the use of modern media tools such as infographics, videos, and digital learning materials is planned to inform the public. Furthermore, it is becoming mandatory for all units under the Ministry to include information regarding these security threats in their annual work programs by 2030.
