Dr. Michael Bumbach, a clinical associate professor at the University of Florida College of Nursing, stated that they developed the application called Clinicals to contribute to students' education. This application enables students to communicate, learn, and be evaluated with the support of artificial intelligence.

Simulation Laboratory in Your Pocket

This developed software carries traditional simulation laboratory facilities into the pockets of students. Thus, students, who are digital natives, can experience realistic patient interactions even outside the hospital environment.

Impact of the Pandemic Period

Dr. Bumbach stated that they began searching for alternatives when students had to be pulled from clinics during the pandemic. He emphasized that thanks to today's advancements in artificial intelligence, this deficiency can be bridged and face-to-face opportunities are supported by digital assistants.

Flexible Working and Learning Opportunity

Particularly graduate students working the night shift can conduct simulations at any hour of the day they wish. Offering the opportunity to practice even at midnight, the system lays the groundwork for students to experience scenarios they normally would not encounter in the hospital.
