Denver-based Crusoe, operating in the AI data center sector, announced that it has canceled its $1.25 billion Superpower turbine agreement signed with Boom Supersonic. The two companies continue to explore separate energy and partnership paths.

Termination of the Agreement

Denver-based AI data center startup Crusoe has abandoned its plans to use the new stationary power plants developed by Boom Supersonic.

Boom Supersonic CEO Blake Scholl confirmed in a social media statement that the two companies will not move forward with the turbine partnership.

Details of the Canceled Project

Under the original agreement, Crusoe had made a $1.25 billion commitment to purchase 29 of Boom's 42-megawatt Superpower turbines.

Initial deliveries of the turbines in question were scheduled to begin in 2027, but this partnership failed to materialize.

Alternative Plans of the Companies

Crusoe spokesperson Andrew Schmitt stated that there is no change in the company's energy plans and that they will continue using turbines from different suppliers.

Boom Supersonic noted that despite losing Crusoe, it has other customers in its pipeline and aims for deliveries next year.
