Following conflicting information in the public sphere, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) officially announced that 131 funds belonging to seven portfolio management companies have been liquidated and that these funds contain a total of 455,758 unique investors.

The Capital Markets Board shared clear figures regarding the liquidated funds with the public in order to address conflicting information circulating in the media. In line with the Board's decision dated September 17, 2026, it was finalized that 131 funds belonging to seven portfolio management companies were liquidated.
Central Registry Agency Data
In the official statement, it was explicitly emphasized that, based on Central Registry Agency records, the number of unique investors in the said liquidated funds reached 455,758 individuals. Investors were urged to rely solely on statements from official sources.
Upper Limit on Share Buybacks Removed
According to another important regulation published by the CMB, the upper limit applied to share buybacks has been lifted until further notice. With this decision, it is aimed to provide flexibility in the markets.
