Eurozone Manufacturing Sector Reaches 52-Month High in September
According to data published by S&P Global, a significant increase in factory production and new orders was recorded across the region.
International financial research organization S&P Global has released the manufacturing PMI data for the Eurozone for September. According to the announced figures, the manufacturing sector gained momentum in September, with the index rising to its highest level in the last 52 months.
Latest Status in PMI Data
According to the data announced by S&P Global, the manufacturing PMI, which stood at 52.7 points in August, rose to 52.9 points in September. While this rate remained slightly above market expectations, the index saw its highest level in the last 52 months.
Rapid Increase in Production and Orders
Factory production and new order volumes showed their fastest growth since early 2022. The manufacturing production index also rose from 53.3 points in August to 53.6 points in September, reaching its highest level in 55 months. New orders recorded their fastest increase since March 2022.
Employment and Sectoral Growth
While employment continued to increase across the sector, a PMI score above 50 points indicates sectoral growth, and a score below it indicates contraction. The fact that economic activity in the region remains above this threshold value indicates that growth continues.
