Quota Exemption and Supply Guarantee in Fertilizer Agreement with Russia

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that within the scope of the fertilizer agreement signed with Russia, no quotas or restrictions will be imposed on Turkey.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made important statements regarding the fertilizer agreement signed with Russia. Speaking at a program held at the Ministry's Lodumlu Campus, Yumaklı announced that Russia will not apply quotas or restrictions on fertilizer and fertilizer raw material exports to Turkey.

Stating that a ministry delegation held contacts in Russia on September 9, Yumaklı noted that the negotiations have been completed and signatures regarding fertilizer supply have been inked. He emphasized that the agreement includes country guarantees for securing the fertilizer and raw materials Turkey needs.

Preparations for the Agricultural Production Period

Stating that they started preparations in advance for the new agricultural production period starting in October, İbrahim Yumaklı conveyed that efforts regarding fertilizer supply are also being resolutely continued with other major supplier countries besides Russia.

Pointing out that they are planning the new period as the harvest season approaches its end, Yumaklı stated that all measures have been taken to ensure producers experience no problems in acquiring the inputs they need.

Bay Leaf Exports to China

At the ceremony held at the Lodumlu Campus, an official protocol was also signed between China and Turkey regarding bay leaf exports. Minister Yumaklı stated that Turkey has an annual export volume of approximately 60 million dollars in bay leaves.
