Sabancı Holding has received the title of 'COP31 Electrification Partner' within the framework of the COP31 Presidency Action Agenda. With this collaboration, it is aimed to increase the share of electrification in global energy demand.

Global Targets and Collaboration

Within the scope of the COP31 Presidency Action Agenda, it is targeted to increase the share of electricity in global final energy demand to 35 percent by 2035. In line with this strategic decision, Sabancı Holding has officially become the 'COP31 Electrification Partner'.

Making statements on the matter, Sabancı Holding CEO Kıvanç Zaimler expressed great satisfaction in receiving this title as the country's leading electrification player. Zaimler stated that the demand for electricity by artificial intelligence, data centers, and robotic technologies is increasing day by day.

It was emphasized that Turkey possesses a very strong potential in terms of electrification transformation. It was stated that solar and wind resources, as well as an advanced energy infrastructure and dynamic private sector advantages, play a critical role in this process.

The co-presidency of the Electrification and Energy Transition Working Group within the COP31 Business Forum, established under the leadership of TOBB, is being carried out. The holding pioneers this transformation with its competencies in energy generation, distribution, mobility, industrial transformation, financing, and technology.
