Administrative leave granted to healthcare workers for education week
Within the scope of the new academic year adaptation week, healthcare personnel who are parents of children experiencing school excitement will be granted leave not exceeding three hours a day.
In line with an official letter sent by the Ministry of Health to the governorships of 81 provinces, administrative leave has been introduced for all healthcare workers, including doctors and nurses, for their children's adaptation training.
Letter Sent to 81 Provincial Governorships
An official letter was sent to the governorships of 81 provinces by the General Directorate of Management Services of the Ministry of Health on September 2, 2026. This step was taken in accordance with the letter dated August 27, 2026, from the General Directorate of Personnel and Principles of the Presidency Secretariat.
Scope and Conditions of the Leave
The regulation covers all healthcare workers within the ministry, including doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative personnel. Parents who are students in preschool, the first grade of primary school, and the fifth grade of middle school will be able to benefit from this right.
Implementation Dates and Duration
Administrative leave will be valid during the adaptation training and family participation activities week between September 7 and 11, 2026. It will be implemented in a way that does not exceed three hours a day, upon the request of the personnel and provided that health services are not disrupted.
