Health Ministers of Turkic States Met in Bishkek and New Action Plan Approved
At the 6th OTS Health Ministers Meeting held in Bishkek, strategic decisions were made, the 2026-2027 Action Plan was signed, and it was decided that the next meeting will be held in Turkey.
The 6th Meeting of the Organization of Turkic States Health Ministers was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. While strategic decisions to strengthen health cooperation among member states were made, the new term action plan was formalized.
Summit Held in Bishkek
The 6th Meeting of the Organization of Turkic States Health Ministers was successfully held with high participation in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. At the summit, strategic decisions were made to strengthen health cooperation among member states.
High-Level Participation Achieved
The meeting was attended by the health ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, deputy ministers from Turkey and Uzbekistan, and OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
Global Health Risks Addressed
Global challenges such as non-communicable diseases, mental health issues, antimicrobial resistance, and climate-induced health risks were discussed in detail, with an emphasis on joint struggle.
2026-2027 Action Plan Approved
At the end of the meeting, a Joint Declaration was signed by the ministers, and the Health Cooperation Action Plan among the OTS for the years 2026-2027 was officially approved.
Next Meeting in Turkey
Following the historic summit, it was decided that the 7th Meeting of the Health Ministers of the Turkic States, with the participation of member countries, will be held in Turkey.
