Health tourism between Turkey and the Turkic world discussed at panel in Baku

The cooperation potential between Turkey and the Turkic world in health tourism, preventive medicine, and medical technologies was discussed at the 'Together in Health' panel held in Baku by the Turkic World Friendship and Cooperation Association.

The 'Together in Health' panel held in Baku under the leadership of the Turkic World Friendship and Cooperation Association brought the joint potential between Turkey and the Turkic Republics to the agenda.

During the event, joint steps that could be developed in areas such as preventive medicine, healthy living, and mental health, alongside diagnosis and treatment services, were comprehensively discussed.

Important Data on Health Tourism

Speaking at the panel, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University faculty member Hakan Çetiner announced that as of the end of 2025, 1 million 398 thousand people traveled to Turkey with health as their primary purpose.

Stating that revenues of over 3 billion dollars are expected from these travels, Çetiner emphasized that Turkey holds an important position in international health services exports.

Broad Cooperation Potential

TÜDİŞ President Kader Demiralp stated that there is a very broad ground for partnership in the field of health between the Turkic world and Turkey.

It was noted that efforts are ongoing to deepen relations between the two sides and increase public-private partnerships through coordinated programs.

Protocol Participation and Award Ceremony

Nevzat Bozkurt, Chief Commercial Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Baku, and Vüsal Demirov, Representative of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, participated in the organization held in Baku.

Within the scope of the program, various awards were presented to individuals and institutional representatives who contributed to joint studies and projects in the field of health tourism.
