High Interest in Healthy Life Centers: 16 Million People Received Services in 8 Months
According to data announced within the scope of Public Health Week, Healthy Life Centers across Turkey provided free health and consultancy services to millions of citizens in the first eight months of the year.
Ministry of Health General Director of Public Health Erdoğan Öz announced during the September 3-9 Public Health Week that more than 16 million people benefited from Healthy Life Centers in the first eight months of 2026.
The Role of Centers in Preventive Healthcare
Ministry of Health General Director of Public Health Erdoğan Öz emphasized the critical importance of preventive health services for community health. With 93 new centers opened in the last two years, the total number of Healthy Life Centers across the country has reached 357.
Millions of Citizens Reached
In these centers, which were utilized by approximately 22 million people last year, health services were provided to more than 16 million of our citizens in the eight-month period since the beginning of 2026.
Free Counseling and KETEM Services
Free counseling services are provided at the centers in areas such as smoking cessation, nutrition, and physical activity. Support has been provided to more than 225,000 people in smoking cessation clinics since 2024.
Cancer Screenings and Specialized Training
While early diagnosis and screening services have been provided to over 10 million people at Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Centers (KETEM), over 80,000 people have been reached through menopause schools affiliated with the Healthy Life Academy.
Application Methods and Expert Staff
Citizens can make an appointment through the Central Physician Appointment System or be referred by their family physicians to benefit from these centers. Services are provided in 17 different areas of expertise, including dietitians and psychologists.
