The Advanced Treatment Department of Hospital 19-8 has achieved significant progress in health protection and care services for senior officials, moving forward with determined steps toward becoming an institute of national and international standards.
Goal of Institutionalization
The Advanced Treatment Department is advancing toward the goal of establishing an Institute for Health Protection and Care of Senior Officials on a scale compliant with national and international standards, reaffirming its leading position in the field of clinical and preventive medicine.
Patient Satisfaction and International Service
Mrs. Nguyen Thu Nhan, a retired police officer, was admitted to the Advanced Treatment Ward of Hospital 19-8 due to high fever and expressed her satisfaction with the healthcare services provided.
Lieutenant Colonel and Master of Medicine Nguyen Thanh Huyen, Head of the Advanced Treatment Department, checked the health condition of a Laotian patient and stated that healthcare services are also provided to senior officials from friendly countries.
Modern Facilities and New Building
Operating temporarily in a new building since January 2026, the department has increased its capacity by moving into spacious and modern facilities on the 9th and 10th floors of the hospital.
Expanded Scope and Future Plans
The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Health approved department-level leaders to benefit from these healthcare services starting in 2025.
The hospital management aims to transform the Advanced Treatment Department into an independent institute as part of the transition into a special-class hospital with a capacity of 1,000 beds.
