Millions of Citizens Received Free Services at Healthy Life Centers
The Ministry of Health announced that millions of citizens benefited from free health centers within the scope of preventive healthcare services in the first 8 months of 2026.
Erdoğan Öz, General Manager of Public Health at the Ministry of Health, stated in an announcement made within the framework of the September 3-9 Public Health Week that more than 16 million people were provided with free health services at Healthy Life Centers in the first eight months of 2026.
Number of Centers and Scope of Services
Erdoğan Öz, General Manager of Public Health at the Ministry of Health, emphasized that Healthy Life Centers play a critical role in preventive healthcare services. With 93 new centers entering service in the last two years, the total number of centers has risen to 357.
Consulting and Areas of Expertise
Support is provided to citizens in a total of 17 different areas of expertise, including dietitians and psychologists, at the centers. Additionally, free counseling services have been offered to more than 225,000 people in smoking cessation clinics since 2024.
Cancer Screening and Training Activities
Early diagnosis and screening services were provided to more than 10 million of our citizens through Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Centers. Furthermore, counseling was provided to more than 80,000 women in menopause schools within the body of the Healthy Life Academy.
Appointment and Application Processes
In order for citizens to benefit from these free centers, they need to make an appointment through the Central Physician Appointment System or be referred by their family physicians. Additionally, comprehensive support is provided to expectant mothers and fathers through pregnancy schools.
