Draft Circular and Scope

The Ministry of Health is preparing a draft circular that envisions the costs of routine health checkups for certain groups enrolled in health insurance to be covered by the health insurance fund.

It is stated that individuals included within the scope of the draft will be able to benefit from insurance coverage for a maximum of one routine health checkup per year.

Covered Groups and Age Limits

The elderly, people with disabilities, individuals from poor and near-poor households, those with meritorious services, individuals with chronic illnesses, and residents of ethnic minority areas are included in this scope.

Additionally, groups subsidized by the state, those paying their own premiums, students, and children also find a place in the draft.

Reimbursement Amounts

According to the planned regulation, a maximum annual reimbursement of 350,000 VND per person is anticipated.

The reimbursement amounts are set as a maximum of 350,000 VND for those over 18 years old, 250,000 VND for those aged 6 to 18, and 200,000 VND for those under 6, with these figures representing the payment limits of the fund.

Eligible Healthcare Facilities

It is stated that the examinations to be conducted within the framework of the regulation can be carried out at healthcare facilities that have contracts with social security institutions.
