FIFA took action after Fenerbahçe failed to fulfill its payment obligation to Sevilla regarding the transfer of Youssef En-Nesyri. As the payment was not made within the 45-day grace period granted to the club following the missed April 30, 2026, deadline, the transfer ban decision was implemented.
The club's payment plan
The yellow-navy management announced that the debt, amounting to approximately 3 million Euros, will be paid on the first business day. Club officials stated that once the payment is completed, the necessary bureaucratic procedures will be carried out to lift the transfer ban.
General assembly meeting
Concurrent with the transfer ban agenda, information was shared that the Fenerbahçe Club's ordinary general assembly meeting will be held at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall.
